The Bresser Pluto telescope 114/500 is the perfect combination of a large Newton Mirror (also called a reflector telescope) with a short focal length. The more experienced astronomer will know that light penetration is a more important factor than magnification. Many people will appreciate the large 11.4 cm mirror. This allows a significant amount of light to be collected and reflected. You will be able to distinguish distant objects in the solar system with ease. The 11.4 cm aperture and short focal length of 50 cm give this OTA (Optical Tube Assembly) a focal ratio of f/4.4. The parallactic mount allows the user to track objects in the night sky with ease. The EQ mount is strong and solid. The beautiful carbon look of the OTA (Optical Tube Assembly) also makes the viewer look very professional. With the included smartphone camera adapter, one can easily take a picture of bright objects such as the moon. By using the included barlow lens, one can achieve larger magnifications. The focal point of the telescope will then be tripled. Very useful for viewing our moon and planets. Please note! The telescope becomes less bright by using a barlowlens. Hence it is advised to use a barlowlens only for very bright objects like the moon and planets. The telescope comes with a high quality solar filter for safe observation of e.g. sunspots.
